Collect Your Detention Time
JB Schaffner of TheAmericanDriver.com shares a little history regarding how drivers used to be able to be paid for their time by filing a complaint with the Interstate Commerce Commission ( ICC). If the ICC ruled against the company or broker and the then did not pay the driver, their business license could be suspended.
In 1995 the Interstate Commerce act was terminated. It addressed abuse, discrimination, and monitored transportation operations. Since the termination, companies and brokers have taken advantage of drivers and many times do not paying them their ALL their wages.
Here is a way to effectively interrupt a companies, or brokers way of making money, when they owe you for detention pay, extra stop pay, or any other money that they have not paid you.
